Dubai Metro

EFP-ME has been lucky enough to be chosen to work on what was at the time the World’s Longest Driverless Metro Network with the Dubai Metro.  Although the Dubai Metro has been surpassed in total length by both the Vancouver Sky Train and the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit System, however the Dubai Metro still holds the Guinness World Record for the Longest Driverless Single Metro Line with the Red Line at an incredible 52.1km.

EFP-ME was chosen to complete the work by Chadwick Technology of Dubai due to the reputation of providing roofing solutions throughout the Middle East.

EFP-ME fabricated aluminium panels for the Metro from July 2008 until November 2010.

Some of the work that was completed by EFP-ME with the Metro include the following:

Dubai Metro Al Rashidiya Depot

EFP-ME provided Solid Aluminium Panel Fabrication for the Al Rashidiya Depot throughout July 2008 to December 2009.

Over the course of this project, 85,000m2 of 3mm Solid Aluminium Panels were fabricated with subframe and silicone bonding.

Dubai Metro Jebel Ali & Al Rashidiya Car Parks

EFP-ME provided 15,000m2 of Aluminium Composite Panels throughout August 2009 to December 2010 while working on the Jebel Ali & Al Rashidiya Car Parks.

Dubai Metro Al Ghusais Depot

The Al Guisais Depot required 90,000m2 of 3mm Solid Aluminium Panels along with subframe and silicone bonding.  This project was given to EFP-ME thanks to the quality of the Solid Aluminium Panels that EFP-ME can fabricate.

The project was worked on from May 2009 to September 2010.

Dubai Metro Underground Stations at City Centre, Union Square, Al Rigga and Burjuman Centre

EFP-ME also provided the aluminium composite panels for the Underground Stations at City Centre, Union Square, Al Rigga and Burjuman Centre.  The project began in October 2009 and was completed during November 2010.

The project required EFP-ME to fabricate 6,000m2 of Aluminium Composite Panels.
